Our Board

Our Board are leaders in their chosen fields and are dedicated to bring their diverse skillsets to provide leadership, governance and regulation oversight to the Youth Insearch organisation. The Board is passionate about the Youth Insearch program and assists the executive in executing the organisation’s mission.

 

Garry Rothwell - Chairperson

Garry is the Chairman and Founder of Winten Property Group. Winten is one of Australia’s most established private development companies and is over 40 years old. Winten has successfully competed well over 200 development projects, creating thousands of new apartments/homes along with new uniquely designed commercial buildings. Garry has received many property industry awards over the years. Notably, in 2011, Garry was honored by the Urban Taskforce of Australia as the “Property Person of the Year”.

 

ANDREW GREGORY,  MAppFin, B Comm (IB, HRM), GAICDTreasurer 

Andrew is an experienced Finance Executive & Company Director, holding senior roles in financial services and private wealth management. Currently Head of Financial Planning for Hillross Financial Services Limited and AMP Financial Planning Pty Limited, Andrew's experience and expertise lies in financial services, private wealth management, corporate finance, corporate governance and private health insurance.

 Andrew is also a Company Director and Chair of Audit for a large Private Health Insurer and a former Company Director of a medium sized Credit Union. Andrew is well qualified with a Masters in Applied Finance from Macquarie University, a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.


His HONOR MAGISTRATE MALCOLM MCPHERSON - Secretary

Malcom McPherson was appointed as NSW Deputy State Coroner in 2006. Malcolm’s previous positions include: 1972 Appointed as Coroner for the State of New South Wales; 1987 Admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW, 1991 Appointed Magistrate in New South Wales. Malcom has heard many juvenile criminal cases while on circuit. Malcom was responsible for establishing Youth Insearch in regional NSW in 2000.


  

William Gill

William is a business analyst and consultant and holds senior management positions. William is currently head of mergers and acquisitions at ECOnomics Group. William’s roles include Commercial Manager at Kyoto Energy Group and CEO of Wind Corporation Australia. William has 35 years in these senior management positions.

 

 

 

Jared Goodwin

Jared has been involved with Youth Insearch for over 18 years. His first contact with the program was as a participant. Jared has been involved in all aspects of the organisation, a youth leader, adult leader and support adult and former employee. Jared was nominated by Youth Insearch for the volunteer of the year awards where he was a finalist in his category. He was nominated by his former employer for an award with Cartus an american global organisation for their global citizen of the year award which he was awarded.

 Jared has held senior management positions at his former employer and is currently a senior business development manager with Bowermans Office Furniture and Maybell Group. 

 

Alan Kuczynski

Alan started Australia’s first integrated marketing communications company which he built to a large national company and sold to DDB a global advertising agency. Alan stayed with DDB as Director of Integrated Communications and Executive Director of Rapp Collins. Alan left DDB to acquire APM Training Institute which he developed into one of Australia’s highest regarded private Business Colleges. Recently, Alan sold APM to Think Education Group, which is owned by global provider Laureate International Universities. Alan now runs a consultancy where he works as a trainer, facilitator, mentor and business advisor. Alan is a fellow, board member and vice president of the Australian Marketing Institute, fellow of the Institute of Sport, board member and chair of the marketing committee of the NSW Sports Federation, and board member of the Australasian Promotional Marketing Association. Alan has 19 years of experience in Youth Insearch as a facilitator, trainer and board member.

 

 

John Moore

John has had a successful career spanning 45 years in the Australian Banking and Finance industry.  Having worked for NAB and Advance Bank, John recently retired from ING Bank Australia Ltd.  John has held many senior executive banking and finance positions and most recently, for the last 17 years was an Executive Director at ING Bank Australia Ltd where he was responsible for the Commercial property  Finance , Real Estate Finance and Utilities Infrastructure and Development finance. 

 With humble beginnings as a teller, he has a broad spectrum of banking experience and his success was built on the importance he placed on building and maintaining relationships which is something he continues to value today.

 

Luisa Pastrello

Luisa is an experienced Executive and Board Member with over 25 years in the aviation, tourism and financial sector.  Luisa's career included significant roles across the commercial spectrum within the Qantas Airways Group, American Express International, and more recently with Etihad Aviation Group.  Board roles include Tourism NSW and Not For Profit organsiation Dante Alighieri Society.   Luisa's expertise is in Commercial Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Loyalty programs, Distribution and Channel Management and People and Cultural Transformation.

 

Robert Smith

Robert is the owner of Halix Pty Ltd a large property development company based in Manly NSW. Robert is a prominent member of the Manly NSW community serving as President of the Manly Chamber of Commerce 1997 to 2001 and 2005 to current, on several Manly Council subcommittees, as a Director of the Manly Golf Club, and previously as Vice President of the Urban Development Institute.
