Info for Players

The Changing Rooms program is run for 30 minutes in club dressing rooms or school classrooms and is delivered in partnership between NSWRL and Youth Insearch, based on the Youth Insearch program.

The Youth Insearch program was written by young people for young people and is run by young people. The Changing Rooms program is a condensed version of the Youth Insearch program.

It's all about getting the help you need from other young people just like you - who've experienced the same thing and understand exactly what you are going through. We do this by getting away for weekends together and going to local support groups and talking about what's going on for us.

Please contact us if you would like your Club to become involved with the Changing Rooms program.

Districts who aren’t currently represented within the Changing Rooms program include the following, and we would love you on board.

  • Cronulla Sutherland District JRL
  • Parramatta District Convents RL Association
  • St George District JRL
  • Western Suburbs District JRL

All young people are welcome at Youth Insearch no matter what their background.

The Changing Rooms program is not a crisis line. If you have an emergency or need immediate help, call 000 or Lifeline.

  • Lifeline provides 24/7 crisis support and suicide prevention services.
  • Kids Helpline is Australia’s only free, private and confidential 24/7 phone and online counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25.
  • Youth Insearch runs one of the most successful youth intervention programs in the country. We work with at risk youth aged 14 to 20 supporting them to turn their disadvantages into their advantages, enabling them to reach their full potential. The program has a peer focus, on young people helping young people.
