Become a Volunteer

While physical Weekend Workshops and Support Groups have been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Virtual Support Groups are now running on a weekly basis, conducted by our program coordinators and supported or facilitated by youth leaders and support adults. The peer-to-peer element of the program remains, which is critical during these unprecedented times.

We have many opportunities for people who want to volunteer with us.

Wow, what an experience the weekend workshop was... I've never felt so much love and friendship in one place. I was so amazed at the strength and resilience and the growth that I saw in young people in one weekend.

- Donna Ryan, Support Adult

A support person brings young people to the program and organises their support groups and after care help. We also need support people to be nominated drivers, who have their own car and don't mind driving our participants from A to B on occasion.

Our volunteers assist with fundraising activities organised by Youth Insearch. You can also run a fundraising event on behalf of Youth Insearch.

There are many ways you could assist with the day to day administration at our head office in Castle Hill.

The legacy of the late Sonia Gidley-King will always live on through the Love Wraps that continue to be made all over the country by the large network of knitters - groups like the Lions Clubs, Country Women's Association, Rotary, and many more.

Love Wraps have become a tradition at Youth Insearch weekend workshops, where each participant receives their very own Love Wrap to treasure.

The generous people at Wrap with Love are always looking for volunteers who are prepared to knit squares or blankets. If you or your social group would like to knit up a storm, Youth Insearch and Wrap with Love would be very grateful.
